Also referred to as RJ11 or Rj12, used for line cords in voice applications and is the 6 positions can be loaded with only the center 2 or 4 gold contracts or be fully loaded with all 6 contacts. For basic 2 wires applications (the center 2 connectors are loaded), the plug is named 6p6c (6 positions, 2 connectors). For 4 wires (2 lines) applications (the 4 center contacts are loaded), the plug is named 6p4c (6 positions, connectors) in applications require 6 wires, all contacts are loaded and the plug is called 6p6c.
